The Grape Alternative started in 1997 utilising the skills of Kathryn & Michael Luciano. Kathryn’s experience in the Wine & Food Industries, enhanced by an excellent palate ensures the creation of many fine flavours. Michael’s graphic design, marketing and sales experience compliments and combines with Kathryn’s skills to make a winning team.

All The Grape Alternative’s products are hand made in small batches with the greatest care, ensuring the highest quality.

Award winning wines from Miramar Wines and Robert Steins Wines in Mudgee and naturally grown herbs have produced an impressive tally of medals. We will continue to maintain the standards of excellence which we have already achieved.

In 2008 'Luçiano's bit on the side' was started in response for a quality mustard. The Grape Alternative's products all have a wine base and therefore the new company was born. We started with four mustards then included our horseradish products and then a Spiced Caramalised Red Wine Vinegar. We have applied the same care to these products to ensure the best quality. All these products have been well received with two of our mustards winning gold medals in Tasmania last year.

Kathryn & Michael from The Grape Alternative are going to explore the food of Dubai, Madrid, Barcelona, Avignon, Lyon and Switzerland from 14 April to 21st May. We will be unable to fill web orders during this time. Please give one of our many outlets a call if you are needing supplies.
